SOP for Cleaning and Sanitation of General Area Production Block

PURPOSE
To lay down a Cleaning and Sanitation of the General Area Production Block.

SCOPE
This SOP procedure shall apply to the Production Department of PharmaInfo Ltd.

FREQUENCY
Daily Schedule.

PROCEDURE
  • Pick up the trace materials from the floors.
  • Empty waste bins and replace them with plastic bags when necessary.
  • Wash sink and waste pipe using 0.1% Teepol solution in water and wipe dry.
  • Wash the interior surface of the commode bowl using a bowl cleaner solution with a bowl mop. Wash the exterior surface of the bowl seat using 0.1% Teepol solution in water.
  • Damp mops all accessible are using lint-free or rubber-lined handle mops initially with a 0.1% Teepol solution in water then with plain water and finally with a disinfectant solution.
  • Bucket 1 – To squeeze out the dirty water from mop.
  • Bucket 2- To Contain clean water for rinsing the mop.
  • Use a bucket system.
  • Dispose off the used water promptly.
  • Allow the floor to dry up.
  • Flush out the drainage channel after removing any solid debris.
  • Wipe the surrounding area with a mop soaked in disinfectant solution.
  • Wash hands before carrying out any other activities.
  • Rotate the disinfectant to be used on a daily basis and record the same in daily cleaning.
  • Mop up any spillages as soon as it occur.
  • Carry out the cleaning operation as and when necessary to ensure the area is clean and hygienic.
  • Fill out the daily cleaning and sanitation record and get it Signed.

Weekly Schedule:
  • Clean the wall using a sponge impregnated with 0.1% Teepol solution in water.
  • Wipe down the handrails, and stairways with an approved disinfectant solution.
  • Dedust all the shelves, floors and walls of change rooms, the storage and weighting area using a sponge.
  • Damp wipe all surfaces with 0.1% Teepol solutions in water after moving out any movable equipment such as container, and weighing balance.
  • Damp wipe the accessible parts of the intercom with a sponge or cloth.
  • Damp wipe the doors, push plates, view panels, and glasses with a spray of aerosol cleaner (Colin) and wipe dry.
  • Dedust exhaust fan, light fixer with sponge or cloth.
  • Damp wipe all other fixers with a sponge or cloth using 0.1% Teepol solution in water.
  • Hose down the passages with plenty of water. Flush out the water.

Monthly Schedule
  • Wash the waste bin with a disinfectant solution.
  • Apply the floor finish on a clean and dry floor and rub it to polish.
  • Clean and wipe the light diffuser and U.V. Light tube with a wet cloth.
  • Clean and wipe the light switches with I.P.A.
