SOP for Preventative Maintenance for Octagonal Blender

OBJECTIVE

To ensure Operational Qualifications and Performance are achieved.

SCOPE

This SOP provides a guide for maintaining the optimum output of the blender.

RESPONSIBILITY

Maintenance personnel: For carrying out quarterly/yearly maintenance.

Operator: For daily routine/weekly maintenance.

Production manager/supervisor: For making the machine available in time for maintenance

PROCEDURE

Electrical

• Check/tighten motor monitoring bolts
• Check/tighten the limit switch
• Check VFD performance
• Check start, stop, and bullion performance

Mechanical

• Check/tighten gearbox monitoring bolts.
• Change gearbox oil yearly
• Dispense big bearings, and apply new grease yearly.
• Check the gasket at butterfly value, and replace it in need be.
• Check bearings conditions and replace them if required.
• Check buffer.
