PURPOSE
To lay down the cleaning procedure for the Stirrer.
SCOPE
This SOP shall be applicable for the Stirrer in the manufacturing area in the Production department.

PROCEDURE
- Put “OFF” the electrical supply.
- Dismantle the shaft and propeller of the stirrer.
- Clean the shaft, sides, and base of the propeller with 15-liter Potable water and 2.5 % “Teepol” solution at least two times till the residue is washed off.
- Clean thoroughly with 20-liter Potable water to remove the detergent completely.
- Finally, rinse all the parts with 20 liters of purified water, and wipe off with 70% v/v solution of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
- Affix the “Cleaned" label and fill in the “Equipment Log Book” (Annexure-I).
- Re-clean if not used within 72 hours.
