SOP for Cleaning and Operation of Air Handling Unit Pre-Filters

PURPOSE

To lay down a Procedure for Cleaning and Operation of Air Handling Unit Pre-Filters.

SCOPE

This SOP's procedure shall apply to the Production Department of PharmaInfo Ltd.

PROCEDURE

1. Cleaning of pre-filter 20 microns average 7-15 days i.e. .weakly off day.
2. Cleaning of the pre-filter cabinet is carried out outside of the production area.

Cleaning

• Before cleaning the AHU pre-filter, switch OFF the mains.
• Loosen the filter cabinet bolts.
• Remove the filter cabinet set aside.
• Close the AHU filter cabinet with a poly bag till the filter is ready to be fixed.
• Clear the filter with compressed air at least five times with airflow in reverse of the operational flow direction, outside the production area.
• Wash the pre-filters using mild soap solution and then with running tap water.
• Pass the compressed air through the other side of the filter and then dry the filter.
• Remove the poly bag from dust.
• Clean the filter cabinet with dry clothes.
• Fix the pre-filter and tight cabinet bolts.
• Record the cleaning operation of pre-filters in cleaning format.
