SOP for Cleaning of SS Vessel and Utensils

OBJECTIVE:

To lay down the cleaning procedure for S.S. Vessel and Utensils.

SCOPE:

This SCP shall be applicable for SS Vessel and Utensils used in the Production area.

Execution: Operator

Checking: Pharmacist and Above

ACCOUNTABILITY:

HOD-Production

PROCEDURE:

• Initially remove all the residual material from the parts to be cleaned.
• Wash with Potable water & scrub if necessary.
• Wash with Potable water at least two times till the entire residue is washed off & then used 2.5 % “Antibacterial” solutions.

• Further, clean the parts with hot water & finally rinse with purified Water.
• Wipe with a 70% v/v solution of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

• Allow the parts to dry.
• Affix the “Cleaned” label & cover the parts adequately.
• Check the parts for cleanliness before use & re-clean if not used within 72 hours.
