SOP for Cleaning of Capsule Filling Area

OBJECTIVE

To provide a procedure for cleaning the capsule filling area.

SCOPE

Covers the cleaning of the capsule filling area in the capsule department for product changeover.

PROCEDURE

• After the completion of a batch, the area is made clean for the commencement of the next batch.
• Remove all the previous product labels.
• Clean the semi-automatic capsule filling machine as per SOP for Cleaning Procedure of Semi-Automatic Capsule Filling Machine. 
• Clean the inspection cum polishing machine as per the SOP for the Cleaning Procedure of the Capsule Polishing Machine.
• Clean thoroughly the walls, and floor with soap solution and water respectively.
• Clean the AHU Filter.

• De-dust the dirt collected on the light fixtures and on the AC.
• Walls & floor joints are to be cleaned at the time of product changeover.
• After cleaning, put the status label on each piece of equipment and on the door.

PRECAUTION

• Stop the activity and inform the QA In-charge in case of any unusual observation.

RECORDS / SPECIMEN

• Carry out the cleaning procedure as per above and enter into the BMR.

FREQUENCY

At the time of the product changeover.
