SOP for Cleaning and Handling of Hosepipe After Use

OBJECTIVE

To provide a procedure for handling hosepipes after use.

SCOPE

All hose pipes are used at the user's point of purified water or to transfer products from one tank to another.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operator: Drain the purified water from the hosepipe and hang the hosepipe in an analogous “∩” shape as described in the procedure after its use.
• Production Supervisor: Guide workman from time to time for handling of hosepipe as per the procedure.
• QA Executive: Ensure the procedure periodically.

PROCEDURE

Hosepipe hanging procedure after use:

• Check that valve at the user point of purified water/valve is closed.
• Remove the hosepipe from the purified water/user point after its use.
• Keep the hose horizontally for 6-7 minutes and ensure that water is completely drained from the hosepipe.

• Hang it “∩”” shape on the hooks provided.
• Cover it with a polybag to avoid dust accumulation.

Hosepipe using procedure:

• Fit one end of the hosepipe in the user point of purified water.
• Drain water through the hosepipe for 1 minute.
• Fix the other end of the hose pipe to the machine or /can be used for cleaning the equipment /machine or utensils as per respective SOPs.
