SOP for Code Structure for Laboratory Indicator

Objective

To describe the code number assignment for Laboratory Indicators to maintain their identity and traceability throughout the work process in the Quality Control Department.

Scope

This SOP is applied to the Code Structure for Laboratory Indicators and its supporting activities in the Quality Control Department at PharmaInfo Ltd.

Responsibilities

• It is the responsibility of the Quality Control Officer, Product Development Officer, and Quality Assurance Officer to follow the procedure.
• The head of Quality Assurance or his/her designates is responsible for SOP compliance.

Procedure

• A code number is assigned for each Laboratory Indicator by the Head of Quality Assurance or his/her designated officer.

• The Laboratory Indicator Code Numbering system is 

LI-XXX

Where 

LI – Laboratory Indicator

XXX – Three-digit Laboratory Indicator Sequential number supplied by the relevant department and starting with 001.
