SOP for Cleaning Procedure of Leak Test Apparatus

OBJECTIVE

To lay down a procedure for cleaning the leak test apparatus.

SCOPE

This procedure applies to the QC department in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities of PharmaInfo Limited. 

This procedure covers cleaning of leak test apparatus.

RESPONSIBILITY

The concerned operator is responsible for the implementation of the process.

The QC In-Charge is responsible for the execution and compliance of the procedure.

PROCEDURE

• Cleaning should be done daily before the activity starts or whenever necessary. Water should be replaced whenever required.
• Switch OFF the mains power supply.
• Remove the vacuum tube from the desiccator.
• Clean the desiccator bowl with sufficient purified water.

• Replace the water in a bowl with fresh purified water.
• Wipe out the parts like the desiccator lid, bowl, tube, perforated plate, and body with wet followed by dry lint-free cloth.
• Ensure the absence of tablet/capsule pieces, and foil scrap residues near the equipment.
