SOP for Cleaning of pH Meter

OBJECTIVE 

To lay down the procedure for cleaning the pH Meter 

SCOPE 

This SOP shall be applicable for the pH Meter installed in the Quality Control Laboratory at PharmaInfo Limited 

RESPONSIBILITY 

Execution: Chemist and above-QC department

PROCEDURE 

• Frequency: After each use 
• Take out the electrode dipped in the test solution. 
• Clean the electrode with purified water in a beaker and soak it with tissue paper. 
• After cleaning, again dip the electrode in 4M KCl solution for further use 
• After completion of cleaning of the pH, record the cleaning details in the instrument logbook.
