SOP for Sanitization of Purified Water Tank and Loop System

PURPOSE

To Lay down a procedure for cleaning and sanitization for purified water & Loop system.

This procedure is applicable at PharmaInfo Ltd.

PROCEDURE

Cleaning

• Close the outlet valve of the tank.
• Rub hard the outer and inner surfaces of the tank with a wet lint-free cloth.

• Rinse the outer and inner surface of the tank with a continuous stream of water with the help of a Flexi pipe.
• Pay special attention to hard-to-clean surfaces. IE. vent flow, joints, etc.
• Rinse the inner surface with a continuous stream of water, Drain the dirty water by opening the drain valve.

Sanitisation of Tank and Distribution Line

• Put caution on each user end ‘DO NOT OPEN THE TAP LINE, UNDER SANITIZATION’.

• Heat the water up to 80°C with the use of a heat exchanger.
• Circulate the hot water through the loop system for one hour.
• After completion of sanitization cool the purified water through a heat exchanger and drain.
• After sanitization is complete remove the caution on every user point.
• Inform the user dept. for use of purified water.
