SOP for Preventive and Routine Maintenance for Fluid Bed Dryer

OBJECTIVE
To obtain optimum performance of the machine.
To achieve the designed output as per the manufacturer's design.

SCOPE
To cover general short and long-interval checks/services/repairs.

RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibility for checks and maintenance is to be done by technicians, production supervisors, and operators.

PROCEDURE
Short term
  • Filter bag sealing, filter bag shaking the device, and filter bag housing.
  • Check electrical connections and terminal motor terminals heaters. Check and observe process temperatures on inlet and outlet temperatures.
  • Check gaskets for leakages and wear.
  • Check hooks, clamps, and weave for wear.



Long Term
  • Check programmed (PLC) and interlock settings are working.
  • Do not spray on the motor or other electrical components.
  • calibrate/clean temperature sensors monthly.
  • Calibrate pressure gauges every six months.
  • Check all PU pipes for signs of hardening and change regularly, for FBD.
  • Check pneumatic system accesses.
  • Check heating elements conditions.
  • Check electrical cables for damages, and seasoning.
