SOP for Cleaning Procedure for Sampling Room

OBJECTIVE

To lay down a procedure for Cleaning of sampling room.

SCOPE

This procedure applies for the Warehouse department in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities of XYZ Limited.

RESPONSIBILITY

The Warehouse staff is responsible for the implementation of the process.

The Warehouse in charge or his designee has to ensure compliance.

PROCEDURE

Cleaning Materials

Vacuum Cleaner

Floor Scrubbing Unit

Liquid Soap and Water

Disinfectant.

Cleaning Procedure: 

1. Routine

• The sampling room floor should be swept at the start of the day before the commencement of any operation procedure and at the end of the day.
• Sweep the floor clean by using a vacuum cleaning device or mop using a wet cloth. While using a vacuum Cleaner, care should be taken to use suction. One should not resort to blowing as the dust may spread to the other areas and contaminate them.
• Wipe the floor with soap water and subsequently with water.
• Wipe the walls and glass of the areas with soap water and finally with water.
• Ensure maintenance of records in the cleaning log in the sampling room.

Cleaning Procedure:

2. Product Change Over

• Carry out the Routine Cleaning Procedure as given above.
• During product change over care should be taken to remove all the materials about the previous product before the beginning of a new product.
• The total area should be thoroughly cleaned to remove the previous product and to void cross-contamination.
