SOP for Cleaning Procedure for Hardness Tester

OBJECTIVE

To lay down the procedure for cleaning the Hardness Tester

SCOPE

This SOP shall be applicable for the Hardness Tester installed in the Quality Control Laboratory at Pharmainfo Limited

RESPONSIBILITY

Execution: Chemist and above-QC department

PROCEDURE

Frequency: After each use

• After completion of the testing, clean the tablet platform with a soft brush.
• Remove the test sample from the tray and clean the tray with tissue paper
• Record the details of cleaning in the log book of an instrument as per the current version of SOP.

PRECAUTIONS

• Do not apply jerks to the knob while cleaning of hardness tester
• The gauge shall be cleaned gently
