SOP for Operation of Lifter Machine

Objective
To lay down a procedure for the Operation of the Lifter machine.

Scope
This SOP is applicable for the Operation of the Lifter machine in the warehouse of Pharmainfo Ltd.

Responsibility
  • Operator / Technician – For Operation of Liftermachine.
  • Warehouse personnel– To maintain proper functioning of the equipment & procedure as per the SOP.

Accountability
The Warehouse Department In charge & QA Head shall be accountable for the implementation of this SOP.

Procedure

Pre-startup
  • The Warehouse Executive / Officer shall visually inspect the machine and room for cleanliness. Ensure that the area and equipment are free from the remains of the previous batch or product.
  • Remove the “CLEANED” label from the machine.
  • Affix the “EQUIPMENT STATUS” label on the machine.
  • Put on the power supply of the Machine till full charging of the machine battery.
  • After completion, the charging of the machine battery switches off the main power supply.
  • After using the Lifter machine, switch ‘OFF’ the mains.
  • Remove the “EQUIPMENT STATUS” label and affix the “TO BE CLEANED” label.


Operation
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the Lifter machine before use and removes the “CLEANED” label and Affix. “EQUIPMENT STATUS” Label to the machine.
  • Put ‘ON’ the mains of the Lifter machine by turning the knob on the right.
  • The numbering light will glow on the display panel.
  • Bring the Lifter machine finger/pan of the required height of the machine by pressing the up or down gear key.
  • Position the finger/pan outlet on the top side by tilting clockwise or anti-clockwise which is required.
  • Take the finger/pan down slowly till it slightly rests on the material pallets by the ‘Down’ key.
  • Stop the Lifter machine through the stopper lever provided in the right corner of the machine and lift the finger /pan by pressing up the key to the required height.
  • Put “OFF” the mains of the Lifter machine by turning the mains on the left side.
  • Affix the “TO BE CLEANED” status label on the tippler
  • Switch “OFF” the mains of the machine.
