SCOPE
General maintenance for long intervals (years/quarterly, and second intervals weekly/safety.
RESPONSIBILITY
Maintenance Department: Responsible for long intervals and rectifying any anomalies in between interval times.
Operators: Responsible for short intervals, checks and reporting any anomalies in between intervals.
Production manager/supervisor: For making the machine to be available for maintenance as per schedule.
PROCEDURE
Routine maintenance daily/weekly
- Check and note air-pressure
- Check and note status functions
- Lubricate all the moving parts with recommended lubricates.
Long interval maintenance
- Check gearbox, replace oil
- Check the spray nozzle for atomization, and replace seals and nozzles if should need be.
- Check and observe the condition of the pneumatic system i.e. S.V. opening and closing times, product sensors functions, and PU. Pipes and correctors replace if they have work hardened. Check sensor, gauge accuracies, replace if need be, check FRC unit, and tighten bolts/nuts.
- Check electrical connections and terminals, for waves or burnt off, replace if necessary.
- Check for responsiveness of various functions i.e. vacuum, machine speed, and machine-free movement of conveyors.
