SOP for Operating Procedure of Auto Dust Extractor

OBJECTIVE

To lay down a procedure for the operation of the auto dust extractor.

SCOPE

This procedure applies to the production department in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities of XYZ Limited.

RESPONSIBILITY

The operator is responsible for the implementation of the process.

The production In-Charge is responsible for the execution of the procedure.

PROCEDURE

• Description: This equipment collects dust-contaminated air and passes through the filter bag, which is tied to a hanger. All powder settles in two drawers, which are located at the bottom of the machine.
• Fix one of the pipes to the dust extractor and position its nozzle half a meter away from the position of dust generation.

• Open the back plate of the dust extractor and tie four filter bags and fix the back plate.
• Push the drawers inside.
• Switch on the machine to start extracting dust.
• Once the operation is complete, clean the machine as per SOP.
• All the operation details shall be entered in the equipment usage log book.
