Registration Process

Required Documents

2. Original Birth Certificate
3. Evidence of Nationality
4. Original Police Certificate of Good Conduct

The application for registration requires the submission of various data and details, including:

1. Name and Surname of the applicant.
2. Contact information (permanent address, telephone, mobile, email).
3. Date of birth, nationality, and ID number or passport number of the applicant.
4. The postal address is different from the permanent address.
5. University, College, or School (including country) from which the pharmacy degree was obtained.

Verification and Decision

The Pharmacy Council will verify the authenticity of the submitted documents and make a registration decision within three months of receiving all required documentation. The Council may request additional evidence or proof if necessary, in accordance with the Health Care Professions Act (Chapter 464 of the Laws of Malta).

False Information and Appea

Deliberately providing false information during the registration process will disqualify an individual from being registered as a pharmacist. If an applicant is not registered, they will receive a written notification. It is possible to appeal the Council's decision within twenty calendar days of receiving the refusal letter.

Qualifications from EU Member States

Qualifications obtained in an EU Member State should be accompanied by a certificate of good standing, proof of registration, and proof of compliance with EU directives from the regulatory authority of the country where the qualification was obtained. This documentation must not be older than three months.

Qualifications from Third Countries

Individuals who acquired qualifications in countries not specified in the list established by the Health Care Professions Act may be required to undergo a professional and linguistic proficiency test.
